So today we had an incredible day with all of our friends. We went to the Cherry Blossom Festival parade first. Evan did NOT like the marching bands and cried through the first two, but slept through the last two that we saw (we got there late). Then we all wandered down to the Tidal Basin to check out the cherry blossoms which were peaking today!! So beautiful. We spent several hours down there, just marveling at the lovely views and hanging out on the grass. After that we came home for a little while (via the Mall where we flew a kite and the National Gallery of Art's sculpture garden) and then had a fun dinner at Benihana!!
Evan with his toy frog that holds his binkies and lives on his carseat bar. Evan grins, giggles, talks to and cries to the frog. The frog is his best friend. He can stare at it, completely entranced, for hours.
