Today it was obvious that Evan felt a lot better. However, being 7 weeks old has brought several new things with it. First, Evan found his "voice" this week ... suddenly he's not shy about communicating when he has a problem. We have lung practice several times a day now. Second, and much to my dread, he has learned how to fight sleep. I've seen this kid spend hours at a time awake, sometimes looking like he has matchsticks propping his eyelids up, and you know what being overtired brings ... see #1. Seems like the days of not being awoken by anything short of cannon fire are over. So I think we're going to have to start thinking about putting this kid on a nap schedule. More on that later.
In developmental news, Mommy was blowing raspberries at Evan and he found that so funny that he let out his first real giggle. It was too cute!!
Here are today's pictures:
Playing with a mirror on our playmat:
Napping in our swing for all of 5 minutes ... he's on a swing strike lately, and once he realizes he's in the swing, he's awake and hollering:
Mom's-eye view of Evan when we're on the road:
We went to visit Mommy's friends at the Senate where she used to work. Evan actually got changed on the couch in the Senator's private office!! As I told Evan's Nana today, there's nothing like having your butt wiped on brocade:
Evan with dear friend Julie, who is a professional mom and grandma and was so wonderful with Evan:
