February 11 -- Perky Baby and A Trip Outside

Today Evan was really perky during the morning and was showing some great developmental signs! First, he smiled in response to his face being stroked. Then he attempted to mimic me a couple of times when I was sticking my tongue out at him (which he loves, for some reason). He also actually looked at his crib mobile today instead of just staring at the crib bars and listening to the music. He also upped his formula intake and didn't have ANY tummy issues!!

Today it was almost 70 degrees out so you know we had to get out of the house! Meridian Hill Park was a bust the other day, so I was trying to think about where to go. Where's a good park in DC? Only one place ...











After that, we had to stop in at Good Stuff Eatery on Capitol Hill for a toasted marshmallow shake. You heard it -- Toasted. Marshmallow. SHAKE.

Tomorrow we have Evan's FIRST PLAYDATE!! That's right ... we're going to visit my friend Ryann Morales and her daughter Sawyer, who was due a day before Evan. She and I went through our entire pregnancies together and supported each other through the whole thing. She's been an amazing friend and I am really looking forward to seeing her again and getting our kids together. Will keep you posted!
