June 7 -- A Day in the Sun at Grandma & Grandpa's

Evan had another wonderful day with his family who loves him. We really enjoyed the beautiful weather especially considering it's supposed to rain all week AGAIN!! :(

June 6 -- A Day Full of Activity!

Today we had loads of new things to do and experience and we got to do it all together, which was so amazing!

Waking up and playing:





On our way to our first swimming lesson at the Washington DC Jewish Community Center!



Regrettably, the climate at the indoor pool fogged up our camera :(



But Evan had a great time meeting the other babies, singing songs and splashing, and learning how to get comfortable on his back!

Whew ... swimming is tiring!



After our nap, we went up to Silver Spring for a free preview of a Gymboree class. Evan really had a great time with all the fun games they played to stimulate his sensory development. This is tummy time over a mirror while colored wiffle balls were rolled all around, which Evan loved:

After Gymboree, we went to Grandma & Grandpa's to stay the night. Evan immediately got Zen on Grandpa's shoulder and then sprawled out on his chest for a nice long nap. After that, we found out that Grandpa was treating us to a steak dinner at Ruth's Chris!!



Tomorrow we're looking forward to a fun SUNNY day with Grandma & Grandpa, having long walks and swimming in the pool! And it's also my MOM'S BIRTHDAY so happy birthday mom and aunt yvette, i love you!!

June 4 -- Keeping Us On Our Toes

Evan's report from daycare was that he was the happiest and giggliest he had ever been ... and if you've been reading this blog a lot, you know that's pretty darn happy and giggly! After daycare we went straight to Grandma & Grandpa's for what was supposed to be a lovely family dinner to welcome Cousin Cathy to town ... well Mr. Evan had other plans, and decided to have a totally uncharacteristic thermonuclear meltdown pretty much as soon as we arrived!! Poor little guy ... something was really bothering him!! But leave it to Grandpa to get the guy all Zen.

Even though it was so late, Evan was SO EXCITED to see Daddy when we got home!

June 3 -- Playtime is Fun Time

It's been so long since Evan and I had the chance to just hang out together, and we took advantage of today's rainy day to do just that!
